PUPIL PREMIUM STATEMENT

 

 Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to schools in order to support particular groups of children. Although schools are allowed to decide how best to use the funding, it must be used to have the greated impact on reducing or removing barriers to learning for the following groups of children:

  • Children entitled to or claiming Free School Meals, or who have claimed in the last 6 years.                                                     (Does not include Universal Infant Free School Meals).
  •  Children who are in care, or who have been in care in the last 6 years.
  • Children whose parents work in the Armed services currently or have in the last 5 years.

Pupil Premium allocation for School Funding Year ending August 31st 2017: £24,340

 

 

At Queniborough, funding is targeted at narrowing the attainment gaps between learners. In 2015-2016 it was used in the following ways:

  •         One to one teaching to boost progress and attainment in reading, writing and maths.                                                                 
  •  Additional staffing to provide small group teaching to boost attainment in reading, writing and maths
  • Provision of small groups and individual support to develop social, emotional or fine motor skills. 
  • Provision of breakfast and after school club places for specific learners.
  •  Subsidising or funding educational visits for some pupils to support learning and development.
  • Counselling provision for identified children.
